Fashion Week
Isn't it crazy that we can see what we'll be wearing in a years time, TODAY? Before the invention of websites like Style.com or the coming of bloggers, we had to wait for the magazines to edit the collections and pic out new favourites for us. Today we can do the work ourselves.
But inmediate and general digital access to every collection has its drawbacks, too. More than once I've felt lost. Was I supossed to use the pearl collar this summer or the next one? When will that blouse be available for purchase? Some garments look old even before they reach the shelves. I mean, we have seen them EVERYWHERE already.
The paradoxes of fashion...

InWear Shirt with Lace
This InWear shirt with lace details would be a perfect addition to my wardrobe. Unfortunately, my paycheck does not allow me to pay 1000 SEK for only one garment at the moment, so I'll wait for the summer sales. I am going to fight for this one if necessary!

Covers: Damernas Värld March 2012
This month's cover is eye candy! And I want those earrings!!!
P/S: "Damernas Värld" is the biggest fashion magazine in Sweden.
Thomas Sabo Silver Studs
Most of us are either a gold or a silver fans. I am a silver (or white gold) fan and Thomas Sabo is one of my fave brands. I saw these studs today and all I have to say is that they are gorgeous, and a lot more beautiful in person. They cost 560 SEK. Spicy!

Fruit Earrings
With inspiration from a mix of Caribbean and Dolce & Gabbana S/S 2012, got these fruit earrings from H&M today. Cute! 39 SEK.

Kappahl Top
As I have already told you, this spring I will test the mint green shades that have been around for two years now but that had not hit me until now. Well, as usual when I decide to go for a new colour or garment, I cannot find it anywhere. So I was very lucky to find a top that would do the trick at Kappahl, and only for 169 SEK.

Pieces Flica Short Necklace
I'm loading for summer, as you can see. Still snowing in Göteborg (Sweden), though. 200 SEK.
By the way, I have found a new webshop. It's called Boozt and posts to Sweden for only SEK 39. I have to try it!

Face Stockholm Blush
Guess Rose Watch
Watches are also a fashion accessory, and my ideal one looks very much like this one from Guess (Hope my hubby reads this before my birthday lol ). About 2500 SEK.

I could pair this one with white jeans, or go for a monochrome outfit with pink jeans. 269 SEK at Nelly.com

Whyred S/S 2012
Another Swedish brand (Acne is the most famous, but not the only one!), Whyred works a very neutral colour palette this coming season. I specially like the combination beige+dark blue and the sandals. I wouldn't mind trying the last outfit either, I need to find a black and white striped T-shirt first.

The Little Black Book of Style
By Nina Garcia, currently the Fashion Director of Marie Claire magazine, as well as one of the judges in one of my all-time favourite TV shows, Project Runway. 131 SEK.

Bianco Sofia Shoes
My good friend found these Bianco Sofia shoes (in black, sorry could not find a picture), which happen to resemble Isabel Marrant's Poppy pumps from last summer, among the on-sale piles earlier today. Tried them on and fell instantly in love with them, then looked at the price and fell even more in love with them! On sale for 250 SEK. They are in my wardrobe now, of course!
P/S: Shouldn't I buy them in red, also? They are really comfortable.
The Sequin Jacket
I am not a party girl, but ever since I saw a picture of a girl in a white tee, blue jeans, Converse shoes, and a silver sequin jacket I have been looking for a well-cut version without success. This one from Zara belongs to last year's collection and is obviously out of stock. Why am I always falling for things that are neither in style nor in the stores? Grrrrr!
COS Shirt
I'm still in the hunt for the perfect white shirt, and this slim fit one from COS (Concept of Style) looks promising. 490 SEK.

Ellos Tee
It's been ages since I bought a T-shirt. This one looks easy to match with jeans and has a cool pattern in feathers. Nice!

Tibi Resort 2012
These two looks talk of simplicity, and sometimes that's all it takes to look stylish. Detail: If you don't dare wear red, try it in your shoes! It adds a turn to the outfit without screaming "I want attention!"

Acne Angora Pullover
This spring I will go for mint green, among other pastels. Last year I said no to it but it's grown on me. I usually avoid making expensive purchases for clothes that are only trendy for one season, but this pullover from Acne has a classic cut and, since it's made of quality materials, it would still be like new next time the colour comes back into fashion. It costs 1,300 SEK.
The same pullover in pink is also very cute.

And Mary Rose Earrings
Saw these earrings on Asos and fell in love with them. The white pair even resembles the Chanel camelia, which is not bad at all! I know it's VERY girly to wear this kind of jewellery, but I like it and well, it's my style! It would be nice to find them in mint green.

The White Jeans
One of my eternal resolutions is to try to add a little bit of colour to my outifts. It feels like I always play it safe by wearing dark blue jeans (my favourite) and black. One of the reasons I love dark blue and black is because they make me look slender. Well, last year I lost some weight so I've resolved this year to be the one in which I finally give a chance to a pair of nice WHITE jeans. And these River Island jeans look very good. For around 500kr, my resolutions are luckily not so expensive!

Theories of Fashion
This is a book that I would love to have on my bookshelf. It's a sociological and historical approach to fashion, with essays explaining the why's of the different trends and their impact on culture. THE book for fashion intellectuals, in other words!
Unfortunately, this book is only available in Swedish.
OPI's Eiffel For This Colour
The gorgeous Lanvin creation that Emma Stone wore to the 2012 Golden Globes Awards, inspired me to paint my nails in aubergine today. And OPI's "Eiffel For This Colour" from the Collection de France did the job perfectly.
